Today, we are at another Harvest Host winery. D. H. Lescombes outside of Deming, NM. I picked up a rosé and a couple of mimosas in a can. Starting tomorrow, the tasting room will be closed as they can only do curbside delivery according to new NM guidelines.
They have a huge parking lot for events that they can’t have so there is a lot of room for RVs. It was a short-ish drive today something like 150 miles. Tomorrow’s drive is only a little longer into Van Horn, TX.
Those Harvest Host places sound really nice! Safe journeys!
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful places to stop. Wineries, breweries, farms, museums, golf courses, etc.
DeleteAs convenient as the huge space might be for RV travelers like you, Richard, I worry for all the folks that have to shut down their businesses because of the C-19 restrictions. Same here in Germany, lot of small shops and restaurants going out of business these days.
ReplyDeleteThe public facing areas are shutting down but the winery looked pretty busy.
DeleteSad that they are shutting down again, but at least their HH guests can still buy and take out their purchases. I am expecting additional closures here in CA any time now. The sad reality.
ReplyDeleteAs well as other locals. There was quite a bit of traffic with folks stopping to pick up a couple of bottles.
DeleteGood for them!
