Tuesday - This morning, we headed west about 20 miles to Amnicon Falls State Park. There were quite a few falls. The water was clear with a red tint. Assuming that to be from all of the iron mines in this part of the country.
I think there were 7 waterfalls but I only found 5 of them. They all had names but I don’t remember any of them.
The short trails were just right and being near the water was nice. There were several bridges which gave some nice views.
This double waterfall is not always flowing but there has been a lot of rain recently. I was told that this was a good time to visit.
This afternoon, I inflated Bridget’s kayak and took it to the lake. I thought that it was very unstable and I couldn’t even venture 10’ from the shore without flipping. I think that I don’t get along with kayaks.
