Day 20 - Lake Havasu City, AZ

Just a couple more pictures from Quartzsite. We head out today for the short (89 miles) trip to Lake Havasu City. Most of the RV parks I checked on were full except Campbell Cove RV Resort. I guess we’ll find out why they weren’t full. I’m sure that it’s going to be a typical RV park i.e. kinda crowded. In fact, they even mentioned that the length and width of the site probably precludes is parking the truck at the site. But after ten days of dry camping, we need to empty our tanks and do laundry.

There were these interesting mountains not too far away but I didn’t really feel up to exploring much. The cough was a real drain physically. It was hard to even walk very far. The e-bike did allow some exploration but I would have liked to do more. The neighbor mentioned that he headed towards those peaks but turned around when it became obvious that a one-ton dually was the wrong vehicle for exploring.

Yep. This is the RV park at Lake Havasu. Probably won’t make my top ten but we are only here for four days. There is a pool, jacuzzi and free WiFi in the clubhouse so I’m not complaining. I got our tanks emptied, the black tank flushed, and there is a laundromat.

I’m not going to complain about this. It’s 73°F. And we had dinner at In-N-Out Burger...

The warm temperature almost makes the crowded RV park seem OK eh?

Between the temperature, the pool/jacuzzi, and conveniences I’ll put up with the crowded RV park for a couple of days.

I believe your iphone X can shoot in RAW format? If so, recommend doing so, that way you can do post-processing.

I am going to try it using an app called Halide. But then I’m going to dig out the computer for post processing. Or maybe just the iPad… Some research needed.

Going to try Darkroom on iOS. I’m curious whether the RAW image will transfer over AirDrop to the iPad.

Sounds like a decent place. There is a pool and the temps to make use of it.

Yep! To me, the pool somewhat compensates for the cramped parking. But we've been in more cramped places.

That mountain range sure looks spectacular! And the combo of warm temps and In-and-Out sounds really attractive!

It was kind of a cramped RV park but it was convenient. We needed to get some things done and it was about the only place that I could get a reservation.

We found that situation in Florida too. The snowbird locations book up fast.

Someone told me that FL reservations need to be done 6 months to a year in advance. That makes it sound crowded to me...

Well, it depends where in Florida and how picky you are about the park. We checked a week ago and got 10 days in St Augustine for end of Feb/early March. The park didn't seem crowded because it had nice spacing, but I'm sure some are.

Sounds pretty nice and on the gulf coast side too. Bridget says that’s her favorite. One of these years....
