It turned out to be a pretty nice day today in Barrow. I went out to take a look at this webcam which hasn't worked since it was installed. We broke the problem up and just connected the camera directly to a laptop and it worked great. We captured a few pictures from the camera then went on to check out the wireless network connection. As you can imagine, network infrastructure in this area is almost non-existent. Wireless is used extensively and all of the snow and water create a lot of connectivity problems.

Here is a picture taken by the webcam looking roughly northeast showing the stark landscape. Not much north of here except ocean (mostly frozen right now.)
