Day 79 - Heading Home

Sunday (79)
 - An early morning (for me). I caught the 6am shuttle to the airport for my 8am flight through Seattle. There was supposedly only a one hour layover but it grew since the flight arrived in Seattle 30 minutes early. The line in Fairbanks wasn’t too long since I had completely filled out the form and uploaded my test results on Friday. I’m required to “strict social distance” for five days. No indoor restaurants, no large group gatherings, and use curbside pickup for groceries. A second test after five days is suggested but not required though it may be required by some local businesses.

  1. Early darkness and snow, the older I get the less I can appreciate this time of the year. I might become the snowbird type once I get to retire.

    1. I would be the first to recommend the whole snowbird thing. I've been working outside on the truck here in Fairbanks at 1°F, and it's been feeling cold. Not unbearably cold but not very warm.

  2. Wasn’t expecting snow pics. I guess I fully associate you with sunny places now. I agree with you and Sonja. The snowbird lifestyle is looking pretty good.

    1. The snow is something that you eventually get used to. I was out working in it for several hours yesterday and it was ok.
