Reality TV?

The word on the street is that this is a film crew from the A&E reality TV show Hoarders. In this case, "the street" was a construction worker standing in the middle of the street holding the stop sign near this location. Just about anyone who's been to Fairbanks (Dom) may remember this place on Farmer's Loop Rd near the golf course. I've never seen the show but there are a lot of locations that are even more cluttered than this place.

No adventures this week just a lot of running around with the Ural. Many times in the rain. I'm also gathering parts and pieces to make a Raspberry Pi based DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) hotspot. More on this in a later post...

  1. Yup, that looks very familiar....and yeah, there's places with way more crap....but perhaps this one has freaky stuff inside.

    1. Today, there were a ton of people milling around as well as two huge dumpsters.

  2. Interesting...makes you wonder how that happens to people, doesn't it?

    1. Yes. In Alaska it seems to be common. 30 years ago, it was so hard and expensive to get things up here that many folks don't want to get rid of their old stuff in case they need it again.

  3. Well, it makes more sense when you think about Alaska and the cost/pain of getting stuff there...
