After talking with the service rep this morning at Crown Motors, I've pretty much resigned myself that we'll be here for a while. At least into the middle of next week due to the holiday weekend. The forecast is for even warmer temperatures so we don't spend too much time outside. We did spend some time fixing and straightening things out. I had just brought things down in plastic bins then simply put the bins into the cupboards. Tomorrow morning we are planning on walking to the Sundial Bridge and
Turtle Bay Exploration Park. It is around 3 miles away. Then after spending the day there, take an Uber back to the RV park.
Due to the warm weather, I am opting not to use the gas stove and just cooking with the induction cooktop. Plus, electricity is included with our RV space so we might as well use it. With these temperatures, it sure is nice to have the air conditioner.
I just cancelled our reservation in Anaheim, CA, and we are going to miss the wedding of my cousin's daughter which is scheduled for next Monday. Our next campsite reservation isn't until June 14th. So we have a lot of flexibility. Hopefully we don't need all of it...
Don't feel to bad , when I got to Eureka Calif, I ended spending 10 day in hospital and Sharon spent 10 days living in a motel, and I had to ship the sidecar home. There is something in the water down there

ReplyDeleteA 5 day road trip in a car with 2 dogs is not something that sounds like fun. With the RV, food and housing is pretty straightforward.

ReplyDeleteWe're kind of in a limbo as well in terms of title paperwork re Martha's new-to-her car and the wait is driving me a bit crazy. At least, you're not in a tent!
Our road speed is very Ural-like. 55 mph feels comfortable.
Deletewe tend to roll at 60 with Uma, the URRV....MPG plummets after that and besides, national speed limit is 65 mph for trailers....55 in some states, like CA where you're at.

DeleteOh no! So sorry to hear! And Redding isn't exactly the center of the cultural universe. Go rent a car and go up to Lassen and take a day away.
