Denali

I'm in Anchorage for a couple of days for some meetings and on the flight down from Fairbanks, there was a great view of Mt. McKinley from the plane. Even though the light is fairly low angle, it is just a bit after noon. I like the shadows and the clouds. Not a great shot as all I had was my phone.

  1. Oh Wow! No matter what you say I think it is a great shot! The shadow angles and the wispy clouds and all the snow look wonderful.

  2. Looks a bit ominous and beautiful at the same time.

    ". . .as Dom said, a "beauty".

often shots where the light is coming at an angle make for more dramatic shadows. Lucky you got a seat on this side of the plane

  4. Thank you for the compliments. I would have liked to take a better shot but I was reaching over the person who had the window seat and couldn't really see the image on the display.

  5. That's very cool - no pun intended :)
Great capture, even if all you had was the phone. Use the tools you have available. Nice job!

  6. I love views from aircraft and that is great!

The best view are from the flight deck (obvious I suppose) but difficult to gain access there these days.
