Not a Good Day for Riding

Maybe it wasn't the best idea to ride in this morning. After all, the weather service was wrong before. It started snowing about 10:30 just a bit after I got back from checking all of the geocaches. By 3:30, most of the snow had melted so I took off for home. There was still some snow between the lanes but the roads weren't too slippery. I ended up taking it pretty easy as did most of the other drivers.

  1. Nice picture! White spots become the deep maroon and black. :)

What do you mean by checking the geocaches? Do you maintain the ones around campus? Or were you out searching for new ones?

Glad you made it home in good order!

  2. Lori/BeemerGirl:

As part of a campus event showcasing technology, I set up 3 geocaches (not "official" geocaching.org sites) as part of the event. I needed to make sure that they were still there and still had stuff in them.

I do spend some time looking for geocaches all over the place including a bunch on campus.

    Thank you for visiting!

  3. Oh no! The return of the white stuff. Still reasonable temps down here at the we(s)t coast. Cheers, SonjaM

  4. Isn't this kind of early for the white stuff? That's a cool photo of your bike!

  5. So many times, I've gone to worn in the car only to have the day turn beautiful. So long as you make it home safe, it just makes for something to laugh at later.

  6. SonjaM:
You don't get much snow on the coast do you?

    Mike:
By this time if the year, there is snow that will still be around in April. The last couple of years, it has been coming pretty late. In fact, last year, I managed to keep riding into November.

  7. Those rides home on two wheels while snow is still in evidence are always "interesting" aren't they?

I can't wait to get my Ural back from the shop, I've come to "depend" on that third wheel during iffy traction conditions.
