The sun was shining under the clouds on my ride in but it only lasted for a couple of minutes. I don't think I will ever get tired of this view of the Alaska Range. Especially in the morning sun.
The mornings have been cool in the mid 40s (°F) but the days have been spectacular. Near perfect riding weather for leaf-peeping. To me, the fall leaves have been looking a bit dismal. Many seem to have gone from green to brown and somehow skipped the expected brilliant yellow. I'm told that it's the weather, or the light, or just me...
The only thing that would have made the pano better, RichardM, would be to have your rig in the foreground..... :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't found a good location to make that happen as I was using a modest telephoto for the Alaska Range photo and the rig, being closer, wasn't in sharp focus.
Delete+1 what Dom said. It is a marvellous shot nevertheless.
ReplyDeleteThanks. The visibility this morning was over 100 miles. Kinda nice...
DeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteGreat shot Richard
ReplyDeleteThanks! Note that the mountains are a long way off...
DeleteThanks Richard. It's an incredible privilege to be able to glimpse lives lived so far away and feel you're seeing through the eyes of a friend. A truly inspiring view.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'll tire of the scenery around Alaska. It's one of the reasons I moved here 32 years ago.
DeleteIndeed a beautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteWe fear our leaves are going to do the same this year. They are already starting to fall but no show of color. We woke to 46 degrees this morning and are heading to 90 for a high.
90°F! Is this what's referred to as "Indian Summer"? The trees look less brown today. Maybe it was mood....
