This morning I walked to the grocery store to stock up on food for the next couple of days. By early afternoon it was into the high 80s so we took an Uber to the local shopping area. First stop, Trader Joe's. Looked around but didn't buy anything as we would have to haul it around for the rest of the afternoon.
Then on to the Mt. Shasta Mall for some air conditioned walking. On to Target for some trailer organizing stuff plus things like plates and cups. And finally dinner at Olive Garden before another Uber back. Taking Uber is a fraction of the cost of renting a car here in Redding.
Richard, I spent time there one winter, looking for work but worked harder at exploring. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice area. Yesterday, Bridget mentioned that we were here instead of Anaheim and he asked which is better. I'd have to admit that here is much nicer. But that's just my opinion.
DeleteThat is a nice looking RV.
ReplyDeleteThank you. It's a bit old but hopefully we get all the kinks worked out.
DeleteMan look at all that room....and that's one big drink dispenser! As to uber, why not lyft?
ReplyDeleteThe shiny thing on the counter is a Berkey water purifier. Pour water in the top and eventually have great tasting, clean water in the bottom. Very slow process.
DeleteLyft isn't in the area. In fact, I was surprised that Uber was around. The service has been great.
Are you referring to all the room shown in the second picture...
DeleteNope, the first pic....
DeleteSmart thinking walking in the air conditioned buildings. Your weather is toasty down there. We cooled off to a high of 63 today.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a change! It snowed in Fairbanks over the weekend… that's strange.
Delete1. Bridget is looking comfy and the pooches are looking relaxed! 2. Gotta love Uber.
ReplyDeleteNote where they are lying down.
DeleteSince we travel with just bikes, we have used uber when we didn't feel like riding, or wanted to have cocktails. Although there are many areas where no such service exists. I'm glad you have it there, with the heat!
ReplyDeleteI've only used it a handful of times back when they just started up. I was shocked to see that they were in Redding...
